We rented a walk behind floor scrubber on 07/16/2014, upon starting the machine, it made an extremely loud, horn like noise without ceasing as it continued to be operated. We tried trouble shooting with no success and immediately put the machine away, not to be used until we could get assistance from far west supply. Far west supply was contacted but there was no after hours or emergency support number (which is a standard practice for all rental vendors). We contacted the delivery man, who claimed to be a staff member of far west supply but he did not speak any English. Luckily, we speak Spanish and advised him of the situation. He acknowledge the noise and stated that he does not know anything about the machine but that he would get in touch with the service department and would also give us their phone number. He hang up the phone with the promise to call us right back. He never called and rejected our numerous calls. We also left a voice mail for far west supply on their answering service. Far west supply failed in every way, from providing their customers an after hours contact in case of equipment failure. To accountability and responsibility when both their delivery driver and staff member Carrie failed to return calls and messages when promised. This could have easily been resolved if their staff member would ve returned our call as promised with the service managers number, instead of rejecting our calls for the remainder of the night. They also had the opportunity to inspect the machine on site but yet it took them 2 full business days to finally inspect the machine. We have submitted a complaint with the attorney general for the state of Arizona and are exploring other avenues as well. We are more then willing and ready to request everyone that was present, to sign an affidavit as a witness to the performance of their equipment. They never followed up to advise us of their findings. It took numerous calls on our end to try to resolve this matter and they still refuse to take accountability for their failure and have not even apologized. BEWARE before doing business with this company. I could be wrong but one of the 5 star reviews listed for them by a Justin Allen appears to be a Managing Director for Far West Supply. DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM HOME DEPOT!!!!!! We needed two rooms recarpeted in our new house-- so we went with Home Depot because it was convenient. Not only did we have problems scheduling the measurement, they also had problems getting the carpet in, which supposedly is one they keep in-stock all the time! Not special ordered! After two weeks passed since the measuring, we finally CALLED THEM to schedule the installation. And from measurement to installation it was a SOLID MONTH. We're getting a refund and going elsewhere. I went to rent a trencher machine and when I was using it, it stopped working and returned for another one. When my rent was done they charged me for breaking the other one, even though they said they just fixed it and I think they didn't fix it right. Don't go here - returns are at your own risk. We needed some 4" tile and they told us a couple of days. No problem. A few hours later, they called and had "found" some tile out back. I was working on counter-top so sent my wife. When she came home the 4" was actually cut from the tile they had in stock - so tiles didn't have (all) beveled edges. She goes back, they don't accept special order returns, owner gets involved, gets so rude police are called but no crime is committed so there's nothing they can do. This scam is gone on for a few years now, but after receiving a few calls from customers lately concerning this scam, I thought I would write a quick blog post about it to let people know about it. The scammer will call you on the phone and tell you that your computer is infected or has other problems that they can see from their end. They will tell you that they work either with or for Microsoft and that they need to help you out. Next the scammer will direct you to go to a website to download software to give them remote access to your computer. Beware, once this is done, they have access to your computer and can do whatever they want to it including damage or system files or steal valuable information from you!! Once they have access to your computer they will usually go into the event viewer and tell you that all the items in the event viewer our virus files or driver problems with your computer. They will then convince you that your computer will crash soon unless it is repaired. Next they will offer to either sell you security software or some kind of maintenance plan to take care the computer. This here is the scam, at this point not only do they have full control of your computer at any time, but now they want to sell you useless software that will not fix your computer! Microsoft, or no other company, has the access needed to your computer to know if you have a virus or other problems. Microsoft or no other company will ever call you if you have problems with your computer. If you receive a phone call like this, hang up immediately. They can be quite resilient with these calls and have been known to call frequently, do not deal with them at all. If you have been a victim to this or any other scams by phone or through the Internet, you should have a computer repair tech to a full reinstall on your computer, this is the only way to make sure that nothing was left behind by the scammer.
