I have a small trailer welding job. The trailer is for a catamaran sail boat. I'm converting the rollers to cradles to minimize the damage to the hulls when trailering the boat. The conversion requires me to weld a 2"x2" square stock at each of the roller supports. the 2x2 stock are 1 foot in length. I will need the 2"x2" x 1ft stock welded at each of the four roller supports. I also need a fender welded on. I have the fender but not the 2" x 2" stock. I purchased a pre-paid detail for $60 December of last year which expired in 6 months. I went today to redeem it, but since the expiration date was 9 days ago, they refused to honor it. The owner of the car wash would not make an exception. This is bad customer service, bad business (he lost me and now several of my colleagues as customers), and unethical. Apparently I am one of 4 this past weekend to be screwed by these guys. Having car trouble, I stopped to get a drink and have a friend tow the car. They ecouraged me to leave the property to find a public phone, then immediately towed my car to a lot that they claim is not connected who refuses to obey city ordinance and return my vehicle.
