Like the other review if I could give no stars I WOULD!! Very unprofessional... I asked for 6 and only 5 showed up.. I had specifically asked for them to show up at 7pm on the dot and they we're there at 6pm so needless to say some guest were still in the food line to eat during the music and others hadn't showed up yet...I tried to get a hold of "José" to no avail!! I did a little investigating and found out that "José" is nothing more than a middle man to contract marichis that are available for your dates. So please do yourself a favor and don't throw your money down the drain!!!! ...read more

Jamie worked at a bar that my wife and I frequented and we hired him to DJ our wedding. He was great. We became good acquaintances and he asked me to help DJ some weddings. I trained with him and did many weddings with Jamie before he let me DJ weddings by myself. He initially told me that he would help purchase the sound system and lights to get me going, but when we were supposed to meet to purchase the equipment he "couldn't make it" so I purchased the equipment myself. Before the first two weddings I did for him I asked him if they knew it would not be him, he told me to inform the couple that his grandmother was sick and could not come. After I DJ'd the two weddings for him I had to hound him for payment, but again whenever we had a meeting he always had something else come up. I have been very patient with Jamie, but he is no longer returning phone calls or texts. Jamie is unreliable and dishonest, I would not recommend him. ...read more

What Is The Best Brand of Piano?

And what are the advantages of new and used?   There are hundreds of makes and pianos on the market, both new and used. These makes vary greatly in quality of materials and workmanship. While there is no one maker that can be labelled "the best." there are many very fine builders. Keep in mind, even the finest of pianos names is not desireable if the condition is not good. Here are some factors that can effect a piano's condition:   1. Amount of use  2. Environment (temperature and humidity conditions) 3. Maintenence or lack of it   To be sure, in today's market purchasing a good condition used piano will save the buyer a lot of money over buying a comparable new model. Condition is key! ...read more

Should I Buy An Acoustic or Digital Piano?

Which one is right for Me? As with most purchases, there are usually pros and cons with any decision and both acoustic pianos and digital pianos have thier strengths and weaknesses. Here are six things to consider when making this desicion.   1. As good as digital pianos have become in simulating the sound and feel of a standard piano, there is nothing that can totally match the real thing.   2. Standard pianos need periodic maintenence, such as tuning and regulating.   3. Standard pianos are more difficult to transport.   4. Standard pianos hold their value better than digital pianos.   5. Digital pianos can be played silently through headphones.   6. Most digital pianos allow the player to record and listen to his playing.
