When Is It Time To Repair vs. Replacing Your Air Conditioning

The age old question for any product, "When should I repair or simply replace my Air Conditioner?" Like any product there is a point when the useful life of the product becomes a liability to your pocket book.  At some point the product becomes more expensive to maintain than to simply replace. With energy saving devices such as Solar Thermal Air Conditioning, there are some basic rules to follow to help make your decision.  The Energy Star website managed and updated by our government at www.energystar.gov  has provided the background to this newsletter. So When Is It Time To Replace Your Air Conditioner? Certain telltale signs indicate it's time to consider replacing heating and cooling equipment, or improving the performance of your overall system.  It may be time to call us (623) 806-8806 to hep you make a change if: Your heat pump or air conditioner is more than 10 years old. Consider replacing it with a unit that has earned the ENERGY STAR label. Installed correctly, these high-efficiency units can save up to 20 percent on heating and cooling costs. Your furnace or boiler is more than 15 years old. Consider replacing with an ENERGY STAR qualified furnace, which is 15% more efficient than a conventional furnace. If you have a boiler, consider replacing with an ENERGY STAR qualified boiler that is 5% more efficient than a new, standard model. Your equipment needs frequent repairs and your energy bills are going up. Your cooling or heating equipment my have become less efficient. Some rooms in your home are too hot or too cold. Improper equipment operation, duct problems or inadequate insulation could be the cause. No one is home for long periods of the day and you do not have a programmable thermostat. Install a programmable thermostat or have a good contractor install one and instruct you on its use — to start saving energy and money while they're away or sleeping. Your home has humidity problems. Poor equipment operation, inadequate equipment, and leaky ductwork can cause the air to be too dry in the winter or too humid in the summer. Your home has excessive dust. Leaky ducts can pull particles and air from attics, crawl spaces and basements and distribute them throughout your house. Sealing your ducts may be a solution. Your heating or cooling system is noisy. You could have an undersized duct system or a problem with the indoor coil of your cooling equipment.  That means your energy use at home is above average and you're probably paying more than you need to on energy bills.   PEP's Solar Thermal Air Conditioner saves 40% to 60% off your AC bill and you receive 10 year quality pledge, 10 year replacement warranty, and 10 year full labor warranty.  The hotter it gets the better it works, so start saving right away and let PEP Solar help you today (623) 806-8806 Solar Thermal Air Conditioning Save 40% to 60% More Solar Thermal Air Conditioning has been around for 30 years.  Its the combination of a state-of-the-art high-efficiency 2-stage air conditioning system integrated with a Proprietary Solar Thermal Collector Panel, creating the most energy-efficient Air Conditioning System available today! The key element is the integrated Solar Thermal Collector super heating the air conditioning system's refrigerant, which in turn reduces the required work load of the compressor.  This then lowers the overall power consumption of the system, saving energy and money. The Hotter it Get's....                                      The Better it Works ! ! ! !      Save 40 to 60% of Your AC Electric Costs     Qualifies for 30% Federal Tax Credit     Up to 32 SEER (seasonal energy efficiency rating)     Reduces Compressor Load     Quiet Operation     Improves Humidity Control     Works on Cloudy Days     10-year parts&10-year labor warranty included     Made in USATo Find Out More Information about the solar thermal air conditioning system contact us at (623) 806-8806  We will be there. ...read more
