I have been buying furniture for 20 years ranging from high dollar to lower end and howies is by far the best place ever. They have the nicest furniture for the best prices and there staff is all extremly helpful and more than pleasant to deal with. We shopped for a while before finding howies and he had a lot of the same stuff we found at other stores for a much more reasonable price. They also have extremely unique furniture that is beautiful. They are a one stop shop business we furnished our whole house at Howies you have a customer for life. ...read more
Palo Verde Cabinet Co
By Carol Kidd December 06, 2011
I needed to replace my kitchen island after we found mold under the sink. I sought bids from 16 cabinet companies from Phoenix to Prescott. What won me to PV Cabinets? Professional, prompt response to my inquiry for a bid with no hidden costs, creativity in helping me choose something that would go well with my existing cabinets, high standards of construction, and a price no one could beat! They were beyond patient with me while I chose a color and the cabinets were finished when they said they would be. They were installed professionally and I know that if I need something, I just pick up the phone. Mo and Scott were great to work with and I would not hesitate to go back to PV Cabinets for all my cabinet needs. Did I mention that my new kitchen island is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! ...read more

Travertine natural stone trouble shooting
Seems to me that generally sales people tend to over-sell anything and everything! I am in the business of importing directly from quarries in Turkey, travertine tileand related items. I just spent the better part of the day yesterday driving 35 mile to a customer's house where he had purchased travertine through one of our good clients, 1300 sf of vein-cut 12x24travertine floor tile. Only to get to the job site and find the absolute best looking vein cut travertine I have seen anywhere in a long while. But, I listened to the customer to see what it was he was unhappy with. I could only nod my head as he explained how, each piece should match the next piece and that the pieces facing the outside of the pallets were a different color and on and on. My immediate reaction is to proclaim the ignorance of this individual and explain how unreasonable he is. Thinking better of it, I began by explaining to him that A: The stone he has is extremely well sorted. B: The material that was facing the outer area of the pallets have dried and that the color is different wet vs. dry. And C: That if he really wanted each piece to be the same, he should have used porcelain or ceramic tile. I pointed out the natural wood floors in another room of his house where there are no two pieces exactly the same. I asked, why didn't you buy the engineered wood?? His reply was "I didn't want that fake looking stuff"! So, I asked, you want fake looking travertine??? He got the picture. After I left, and the customer was reassured, I know what happened here. The sales person said anything and everything just to get the sale, with no regard for informing his customer as of what to expect. Take the time, make a friend and a long term referral by giving the customer the proper information from beginning to end. You will end up with much happier customers and MORE business in the future. And if you don't know the proper answers, don't make it up, find the correct answer and learn. ...read more
