how i started

when i was 17 (i was born in 1982) my friend rick and i built a tattoo machine out of a pair of hair clippers i took it apart and got the electric magnatized coil out of it  we welded a side mount on it so proffessional tubes and needles can fit it . it was funny because for the most part it had to be tack welded because the metal was thin i got a few disposabtle tubes from a local supplier of tattoo equipment and i was on my way ive never met my father but my entire family had tattoos on them from him and some pictures of him in sturgis in a school bus he turned into a tattoo parlor in 1982 and most importantley my little bag of dreams . from a child i could always look at things and draw them and not stick figures it was a gift im sure i used to make paintings and portraits when i was younger and sell them for 12 dollars it was a hobby  didnt think i could actually have a living out of the deal my very first tattoo was on my sister done of course with the new machine we did a dragon that i absolutley loved from a piece of flash i got at a local tattoo supplier she was brave . this machine only had one speed so it was quite intense the only way to shut it off was to unplug it ...read more
