I wanted to upgrade the Audio System for my Nordic Boat and it presented some challenges. The results were excellent. They provided a very reasonable price and installed the 2 JL Audio Amps, 2 10 Subs, and 6 7.7 Speakers as well as adding an IPOD control cable. They took excellent care of my boat - seamless. Most people assume that when their computer is infected with viruses or spyware that it will act weird or slow. I'm sorry to say that isn't really the case any more. The trend of "script kiddies" who were just out there to cause havok is slowly dwindling, and being replaced by hardcore hackers who are trying to conduct business. Not legal or moral business, but financial related transactions the same. These days many infections are simple, and small, and in no way malicious to the host of the computer. One of the worst types of infections, and actually quite common, is something know as a BotNet. This type of infection is typically hard (if not impossible) for many anti-virus software packages to detect, and often shows no signs of unusual activity on your computer. That is because for the most part, and for most of the time it does nothing. The purpose of BotNet (a group of computers infected with bots that are joined together as one usuable network) is to effect some kind of large scale attack, like a DDoS, or a distributed denial of service attack. This type of attack utilizes the resources from those infected computers to send very small packets to servers to effectively create too much traffic for that server to handle, resulting in a crash. The problem is that literally hundreds, even thousands of computers may be in a BotNet. Even your computer could! Because so many computers are in the loop, very little resources need to be used from each computer to effect a massive attack. This means that on a decent computer, you may not even notice that something is going on. Your computer could be sending small packets of information to some computer out there, with very little reduction in speed or effectiveness to you, but on the other end, the flood of packets may likely result in a shutdown, as you have heard of happening from companies like Bank of America and Amazon. These types of attacks cost millions each year and only result in the affected organizations raising prices and fees.
