We have never had someone die at DCAL that wasn't on hospice. Also, our residents eat in the dining area. Has this person writing the review ever been to Doctor's Choice? I would just like to say I had an experience there in the facility with my parents. I was told that it was a memory care unit and my parents would get the best care . That they keep busy with activities and go places to keep the residents amused. Also ther were supposed to be nurses one on one to take care of my parents. The nurses neglecd to groom my parent and when I went there they were in the same clothes for days and soak and wet. The sheets were dirty and they were always in bed when I came to visit. They never went to any kind of activities and the food was no good. I am paying all this money for what? THE NURSES ARE NEGLECTING WITH MEDICINE AND JUST GIVING MY PARENTS TO MAKE THEM SLEEP. THEY ARE NEVER IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION UNLESS THEY DECIDE TO TAKE THEM OUT OF THEIR ROOM TO EAT.. Most of the time the trays are in their room not touched at all. My father needed medical attention and the doctor there deprived him of it . They didn't give him the medical attention to take him to a hospital to get the right care. He died and it was very unnecessary, They could have saved him if they would have taken him to the hospital. I would never recommend this place to anyone, it is a death trap and the doctor there is just taking everybodys money to let the residents die with no kind of concern for the resident.
