Cover a table with a plastic garbage bag or newspaper.
Use nail clippers to trim the acrylic nails down as far as possible.
Apply petroleum jelly to the skin around the acrylic nail. Do not apply it to any part of the natural nail or acrylic nail.
Fill a glass bowl with an acetone based nail polish remover. Soak your nails in the bowl for 15 to 20 minutes or until the acrylic nails are dissolved.
Remove your hands from the solution and peel off the acrylic nails. Soak your hands in the solution again if it is needed.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Buff away any remaining nail glue with a nail buffer.
Use a moisturizing hand lotion for the hands to replace any lost moisture.
