How to Refill Your Prescription

Pharmacies have made it easy to get your prescriptions when you need them. To get a refill, first look on the prescription bottle to see if you have any refills left. This information is typically on the bottom left-hand side of the bottle. You are also going to need the RX number, which is usually on the upper right-hand corner. This will help the process go smoothly and efficiently.

1. Go to the pharmacy to get your prescription refilled. You can either go there with your prescription and have the pharmacist refill it while you wait or drop it off and come back for it at the designated time.

2. Call in your prescription. Most pharmacies have an automated system that you can use to call to get your prescription refilled. Follow the prompts to get your prescription refilled. Pick it up at the designated time.

3. Capitalize on the online capabilities. Most pharmacies have an online service that allows you to refill your prescription using your seven-digit prescription number located on the left side of the label. You then pick up the prescription when it is ready.

4. Use the mail. This method is generally for people who who get their prescriptions in a three-month supply. If you choose this option, make sure that you order in ample time so you do not run out of your prescription.
