How to Make Your White Appliances Whiter

Some people purchase white appliances for their kitchen because they feel they make the kitchen look brighter. That may be true when the appliances are first purchased, but over time they can become dingy looking if they are not properly maintained. What some people do not realize is there is a way to make their white appliances look like new.

Supplies Needed

• 8 cups of water


• 1/2 cup of baking soda


• 1/2 cup of bleach


• 1 cup of vinegar


• 1 teaspoon of lemon juice


• Sponge


• Rubber gloves

How to Make Your White Appliances Whiter

1. Pour 8 cups of warm water in a large bowl or bucket and put in 1/2 cup of bleach and 1/2 cup of baking soda to make a cleaning solution.


2. Put on a pair of rubber gloves.


3. Take the sponge and dip it into the cleaning solution and clean the outer surfaces of the appliance.


4. Rinse off the sponge with clean water.


5. Dip the sponge in a bowl of clean water and use it to rinse the cleaning solution off the appliance.


6. Allow the appliance to dry completely.


7. Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 cup of vinegar.


8. Dip a clean sponge into the mixture and wipe it over the entire surface of the appliance. Do not rinse the mixture off.


9. Allow it to dry.
