How to Make Wooden Crafts Projects
When it comes to wooden craft projects the possibilities are nearly endless. One simple wood craft project to complete for any age group is a picture frame. With some common materials and a few easy to follow steps you can complete this project in little time.
What You'll Need:
- 13 popsicle sticks
- White glue
- Paint
- Paint brush
- Decorative accents
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Before you begin assembling the frame, you'll want to ensure that you have all the necessary materials before proceeding on with the project. You do not want to stop in the middle of the project to gather more materials.
- Take 11 of the popsicle sticks and place them horizontally side by side on a table or other flat surface.
- Begin placing a thin line of glue across the edge of the sticks so that the line goes vertically across the sticks. Ensure that the line of glue is on both the right and left edge of the frame.
- Place a single popsicle stick over the glue to adhere to the sticks on the table to the top of the stick to secure the sticks together. Allow them to dry before moving to the next stop.
- You can now paint or decorate the frame to your desired design.
- Measure the opening in the frame to cut the picture you plan to display down to size. Take these measurements and transfer them to the picture. Use scissors to cut the picture.
- Place a thin layer of glue on the back of the picture and glue it into place. Allow the glue to dry completely before you move the frame.
