How to Draw Chinese Art
When you think of Chinese drawings, most people see it as a type of calligraphy rather than art. The reason people view Chinese Art as calligraphy is because the drawing of the art requires special brushes and paper to produce the results that they consider to be art. The style drawing is fairly simple because they use white paper is a background, but the finished product is usually very complex and intricate.
- Dip the selected brush into the paint or ink of the color you have chosen. You can choose between a number of single colors or you can choose two colors to create a different tone of a particular color. Depending on what you are drawing, you will need to carefully select the colors because if you paint a picture with the wrong colors, the end result may not be as appealing to people than if you had used proper colors.
- Place the tip of the brush against the paper and move the brush in an appropriate direction using fairly swift actions to give the painting a certain look. For example, if you are painting a flower, you will want to use quick brush strokes to the right in order to give a curve to the lines of the flower.
- Push the brush you selected against the paper to spread the bristles out and create a wider line. If you want to create a thinner line, then you want to just place the tip of the brush against the paper and lightly drag it. Depending on what you are drawing, you should use several brushes to give different widths to your strokes which will create a more in-depth work of art.
