Applying eye shadow can be very tricky if it is not something that you do on a regular basis. It takes some women years to master applying shadow to their eyes. It is true that practice makes perfect, but there are some things you can do to speed up the learning process.
How to Apply Eye Shadow
Dab three to four dots of liquid foundation or concealer on your eyelids before applying eyeshadow. This will keep your eye shadow looking vibrant for a longer period of time.
Add a neutral color to your eyelid such as beige or peach.
Apply a slightly darker color in the crease of your eyelid.
Use a small foam tipped applicator brush to apply eyeshadow to the remainder of your eyelid.
Use a loose translucent face powder to set your eyeshadow and keep it from creasing.
