How to Add Oils to Unscented Body Wash
Finding a perfect body wash can prove to be a difficult task. Some may have the right amount of cleanser and moisturizer but no fragrance. Learning how to add oils to unscented body washes that work great, but don't smell the way you want them to, can save time and hassle and leave the user smelling wonderful.
- Purchase an unscented body wash from any store. If a preference of the body was is in place then choose the one most comfortable with. Otherwise look for one that would suit your needs the most. If you have extremely dry skin it might be best to look for a body wash that will help moisturize the skin and keep it soft.
- Determine which scent the body wash will be and choose the essential oils needed for that fragrance. It is best to start with one essential oil and then move on to mixing and matching various oils to create new scents. When adding more than one oil it is a good idea to record which essential oils are being added together so that the scent can be made again if enjoyed or avoided if not.
- Purchase the essential oils with the unscented body wash. Again, it is best to look for an essential oil that will work best with the skin of the user, especially if the user has sensitive skin. It's important not to bring irritable oils to sensitive skin.
- Place the bottle of body wash and the essential oils onto a paper towel-lined surface and remove the lid from the body wash. Take a dropper such as an eye dropper or medicine dropper and insert it into the essential oils bottle. Add a few drops into the body wash bottle. Place the lid back on the body wash and shake the bottle. If the smell is weak, add a few more drops of oil to the mixture until the smell is at a stronger, more desirable fragrance level.
