This requires flexibility and adaptability because of the constant interruption that occurs continuously.

A floral shop must project a professional and attractive appearance at all times. Therefore, the florist on duty has to make sure the store always looks attractive and clean at all times. They must use their creative skill to make arrangements ahead of time in the event a customer drops in without an appointment. They have to make sure all display attracts customers visually to entice them to purchase additional products. Another important duty is managing what money comes into the business and what goes out and money management skills are an important daily function.

A florist has some routine duties that must attend to, but there are times when they have to handle special important special occasion. They may have to come up with special orders with special arrangements for birthdays, mother’s day, weddings and funerals. In these instances, they will have to probably order special flowers from their wholesale and make sure that they have proper storage to deal with the increase demands.
