About Decorative Car Accessories
A car to some people is just a transportation device to get from point A to point B. For others, however, it is a fashion statement or an item that can be personalized to their likings. While cars can be customized with vehicle specifications in the factory, they can also be given a personal touch with decorative car accessories.
Interior Accessories
In order to increase comfort for the driver and add a decorative flair, many types of embellishments are often incorporated into the inside of the car. Steering wheel covers are placed over steering wheels to provide a better grip for the driver or to protect the driver’s hands from a hot or cold steering wheel. Steering wheel covers come in a variety of colors and patterns to add decoration. Seat covers can also increase comfort for the driver and passengers, and like a steering wheel cover, can have a customizable color or pattern. Car owners sometimes hang decorations from their rear view mirrors such as fuzzy dice, charms or something with special meaning to them. Drab floor mats can be replaced with colored mats to match seat covers while seat belt covers can add an additional matching flair. Although not considered decorative, many car owners also place an air freshener in their car to ward off any unpleasant odors.
Exterior Accessories
Unlike interior car accessories, exterior accessories do not enhance the comfort of the driver but do draw attention from others. Car decals are extremely popular and are usually placed on the windows of cars. Decals can come in the form of words, pictures or designs. Bumper stickers, which are placed on the bumpers of cars, oftentimes advertise businesses or express viewpoints of the driver. On the front of cars, some owners add a feminine flair by giving their headlights eyelashes. In the wintertime, special antlers that secure to side windows can make cars appear as if they are reindeer. Many drivers also surround their license plates with decorative frames that include words or patterns.
