This is a great new addition to The Promenade at Chenal! When I stopped in to check out the store I was so surprised by the great prices!! Many customers have called and asked the following questions: "What exactly does this free foot analysis involve?" "How long does it take?" To which I answer 40 minutes to an hour, followed by them asking, " Why does it take so long?" So, here you go... The foot analysis entails several aspects of your feet, and your body's biomechanics, to help us educate you about what will best suite your individual needs. We will ask a little bit about your health history to aid us in understanding exactly what you need. We discuss any discomfort in your feet, knees, hips, and lower back, and how they all may be related. We educate you about the biomechanics of the foot and how you created the aches and pains you are experiencing. We will discuss any foot condtions your physician has diagnosed such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, bunions, or hammertoes. We will physically examine your feet to look at callusing patterns, and evaluate your foot and ankle flexibility. A gait analysis is performed to identify your walking patterns. A computerized pressure scanning analysis is performed to let us see where you normally tend to place pressures on your feet, and to identify any excessive pressure areas that we need to relieve. A 3-D imaging of your foot is made so that we can identify the height and shape of your individual arches, and what type of support your individual feet require to maintain appropriate alignment and balance. Just like you would take your car in to keep your tires rotated and balanced properly, we do the same for your feet! All of this information is designed to help us learn about your INDIVIDUAL foot needs, and we haven't even gotten to the part where we try on shoes yet!
