I was recently at your locationm and I must say OMG! I havent been there in a while, 4 months ago since my last visit was not at all great! Rude employees, one was texting in an aisle, I asked for help they ignored me. The store was dirty boxes and stuff thrown about. Well, I had to rush off to work for some items for work, I was shocked to walk in and find that everything was neat! Clean! And the lady behind the counter actually smiled at me and said Hi! As I was still in shock, i found my items, this tall guy seen me struggling with my hand and arm ful of items, he gave me a shopping cart! This is unbelieveable and I am happy that I returned, it is close to work, and I will be coming back ..definately! ...read more

Like many longtime customers, I haven't been impressed with changes made by the new owner of Terry's Finer Foods. (I now have most of my groceries delivered by Hestand's in The Heights and only stop by Terry's once a month.) However, the steaks at Terry's Restaurant rank among the best in Little Rock. (I'm so fond of them I haven't tried anything else on the dinner menu.) The restaurant has a well-trained staff and pleasant ambiance. The intimate lay-out (apparently modeled after grocery-restaurant establishments in France) doesn't lend itself to privacy, but the usual customers aren't a loud crowd. ...read more

Poilane has been baking bread almost as long as Terry's has been serving the Heights community (the bakery started in Normandy in 1932, a few years after Mr. Terry started his store at Kavanaugh and Van Buren)! Drop in to see for yourself what makes this a truly unique bread!\t\n\t\nPoilane's Bread Pudding \t\n\t\n\t\nIngredients \t\n7 oz. brown sugar \t\n1 pint milk \t\n5 eggs \t\n2.8 oz. custard cake powder \t\n14.11 oz. stale sourdough of loaf or rye and raisin bread \t\n1 vanilla bean \t\n1 spoon rum (optional) \t\n\t\nInstructions\t\nCut open the vanilla bean. Combine a third of the milk with the vanilla bean and the rum (optional). Allow the vanilla to flavour the milk for at least 2 hours. \t\n\t\nBlend together the eggs and the sugar. Add the custard cake powder and the remaining milk. \t\n\t\nRemove the vanilla bean from the vanilla-milk mixture. Combine with the egg-sugar-milk mixture. \t\n\t\nLayout the bread in the baking pan.
