i am a white female and i have a biracial beautiful daughter i shopped at walmart at least 4 days of the week after being a familer face to the employees on day shift there attitude toward me was friendly untill they realized my daughter was biracial the same managers and customer service people who always spoke started giving me ugly stares and never speaking anymore and then a comment was made by a customer service manger that one day the whole world would be brown that people should stay with their own she said this to another worker but with the volume and tone to where i could here her i complained to a store manager but his response was his employees would not do that i said i would never shop there again but i had no choice on a couple of occasions afetr my complaint their treatment of me got worse if i have a return they refuse they bully me stare at me and try their best to make me uncomfortable this is only the day shift i wish i could make them be accountable for their actions.. ...read more

Well, I'm by no means a defender of Sumiton Wal-Mart, but to say it is dirty and Adamsville is better, I don't get that. I don't think it is dirty and while the Adamsville Wal-Mart is better as far as variety and more of a selection being a bigger store, I don't think it is any cleaner than the Sumiton store. Also, the customer service in Adamsville is not up to standard compared to the Sumiton Wal-Mart. There seems to be alot of lazy, unfriendly people at the Adamsville store who are just there for the paycheck. You obviously have a biased opinion. Come to think of it, Sumiton is much cleaner than Adamsville, at least when I have been there. I used to live in Adamsville as a kid and it has went down hill over the past several years, since the 80s and 90s particularly. I hate having to go to this store. Adamsville is so much better. The Summiton store seems so dirty and I agree the buggies are the worst, I attend school at the nearby college so, I don't really have a choice when I need something in a hurry.
