Yoga and Beer?! Where?

Summer is the season of travel, beaches, lakes, festivals, and adventure. It's also the perfect season for some organic hot yoga! So we've decided to take advantage of the famous Southern heat and take our mats to the outdoors. With an abundance of events ahead such as our annual Yoga in the Park sessions and ourNEW Plank and Pint, you can bet to get a good sweat and some fresh air by practicing with us!  Yoga in the Park has become quite a tradition for the shala every summer, being it's 5th year going! Only a $5 donation to the MJ Yoga Center gets you a spot in the event, held in Old Cloverdale's Bottom Park May 17th and June 7th. Practice begins at 4:30pm and any level of practitioner is welcome to join.  Plank and Pint is a brand new event offering a 75 minute yoga practice -all levels- beginning at 4:00pm, May 16th and June 6th, followed by a flight tasting of local brews at the Tipping Point in the beautiful Hampstead. Clinic Details Shingo Ryu Bujutsu Kai / Shingo ha Yoshukai Spring Clinic When:        May, 17, 2008  (Saturday)                   9:00 AM to 4:00 PMWhere:     SHINBUKAN DOJO                        1309 Upper Kingston Road                       Community Center                       Prattville, Alabama  36067                       Schedule:    Please register before 8:30 AM                    Lunch break is from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Cost:          $35.00  Adults, $10 for kids (2 hr session)  Kids Invited The Juniors are all invited to Prattville on May 17th for the Shingo Ryu Spring Clinic.  We have two such clinics every year, May/June and December, to gather with all of the judo, jujutsu, and karate students in the organization to train.  Various yudansha (black belts) will be teaching a variety of skills to the kids group.  The kids will be training from 9 to 11 that Saturday morning.  There is a ten dollar fee for this training and students should arrive by 8:30 to register and get ready.
