While there are alot of fun things to do in Fairhope like last night's Greyson Capps concert, sometimes you have to get a bit out of town to do the big stuff. Now as you all know we love to fish down here and crab. It is a central part of life. But on Saturday, two of my semi pro fishing buddies went out with a guide who would have probably never even let a amatuer like me on his boat. I can not tell you where this was caught. One, they did not tell me exactly, and two they would have to kill me because it is a secret spot....but this was a massive Tarpin caught in about 3 feet of crystal clear water. It was caught with a fly rod, 20lb test line and by site fishing. You actually see you individual fish coming under the water and cast directly do it.
