I recently met with leaders of this nonprofit to discuss my freelance work with her. I immediately noticed that all who worked for/with this organization represented an older demographic, certainly understandable with the mission of the organization. However the Executive Director acted and seemed prejudicial towards me as a young person. My youth lacked a patience, wisdom, and experience as she put it. I recently inquired further about the practices of this nonprofit, and two interviewees were dismissed only five minutes into their interviews because of their youthful approach to life, one of which was a close friend to me. The ED asked them in for an interview and then quickly asked them to leave after she made a decision who she would hire. I support many nonprofit causes in central Alabama and nationally with the mark I make with all those I work for and represent. I unfortunately feel that Positive has fell far from the apple tree.
