Kenai is a part of the Kenai Peninsula Borough region of Alaska known for its national parks and wildlife refuges. Major attractions include Kenai City Beach and the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Each July 4th there is an Independence Day parade. Among the biggest companies in Kenai are Marathon Oil, and Tesoro. The biggest schools here are Kenai Central High School and Mt. View Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Kenai is Coral Seymour Ballpark. Musician Steve Holt hails from Kenai.
