My children have been involved with Sensei Oyamada and Aplus Karate since the age of 4. Now 14 and 12, they are both Black belts, and honor roll students. Sensei uses a unique approach to teaching the students at their own level. In the children's classes, he uses a good balance of discipline, and intensity. He makes learning fun by interacting with the students at a level in which they can understand. I would highly recommend Universal Martial Arts Centers to any one who is looking for Martial Arts Instruction. When we first started researching Martial arts schools we looked at several other schools. We told Sensei we would be looking at other schools and he actually encouraged us to do so. Aplus Karate is second to none.

I have been training at this school for almost a year and half and I can honestly say I am very satisfied. The people are very friendly and helpful in assisting first timers and regular attendees. The instructors are very courteous and cater to the student's needs regardless of faith, gender, etc. The school offers many different classes for those interested in pilates, aikido, ju jitsu, fitness and of course, Karate. The Karate courses are reality based, and very intensive. I took martial arts prior to coming to this school and I am definitely in better shape since joining. Plus I feel better prepared to defend myself should a situation arise.
