Do more amps mean better cleaning?
Now that being said, a 12 amp moter with 2 or 3 large fans is better than a 12 amp with 1 smaill fan sure. But a 7 amp motor with a large fan is better than a 12 amp. Confusing isn't it. Try explaining that all day. What determines how well your vacuum works is airflow (the volume of air moved). The more air you can move the better your Vacuum works. That is why Miele Vacuums are one of the very best they move alot of air and retain almost all of the dust with their certified sealed HEPA filtration systems. Another way to think of it is take a straw and put it in your mouth and put your finger on the other end and suck. What happens? Nothing, the harder you suck nothing happens.Move your finger and now you have airflow. So to get the best cleaning look for a vacuum that has the highest airflow,(note most manufactures do not list the airflow on their vacuums).
