Just left my family member at the Sunrise center. The staff was warm and welcoming. This is the first time I've done this so it was difficult, but the people were very nice. They helped with the unpacking and getting everything organized for the stay. I left feeling like everything was going to be okay. I will follow up after they've been there a few days. But so far so good!

I work in a hospital and heard good things years ago about the rehab at Sunrise. My sisters liked it and sight unseen I took her there. I immediately knew it was a mistake. Mostly good staff - what there is of them. My mom has dementia and is a diabetic but alert and overall healthy and came with a fractured leg. They put her in a section that is shabby, there is a hole in the wall of her room, and the patient's are just existing. The dietitian had to be sternly spoken to to get the diet correct which caused my mom to be overmedicated with insulin. They forgot to give her breakfast before leaving for a doctors visit causing aggitation. Her air mattress lost its air and she was laying on steel - I found her that way. Food is low quality, no one cleans the rooms and basic nursing knowledge is not used here. Too many mistakes and not enough quick action on requests/ problems. No warmth or caring - aloof staff. Run away from this one.
