Sea Kayak Carolina

I took a recent day trip arranged through Sea Kayak Carolina. The staff was helpful and friendly. They use high-quality boats and equipment and got me equipped and out on the water efficiently. I was impressed with their professionalism, local knowledge and commitmen...t to safe and fun paddling. The paddling environment around the shop is varied and interesting. We headed for the ocean, but another group chose to stay in more sheltered water. SKC appears to be able to accomodate paddlers at all different skill levels and interests. The shop is reasonably close to downtown Charleston. There is even a public transit bus that stops 100 yards from the shop, although service is infrequent. Nice outfit through which to arrange everything from a half-day trip through a week-long intensive training course.
