Ms. Sammis graduated from the University of Florida College, of Law with Honors in 1999, and has focused on criminal defense for the past 10 years. After completing internships with state prosecutors at the State Attorney's Office, federal prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney's Office, and a federal judge in the Middle District of Florida, Ms. Sammis joined the public defender's office where she represented individuals in misdemeanor, juvenile and felony divisions.

Ms. Sammis entered private practice as a criminal defense attorney eight years ago. She founded the Sammis Law Firm to focus exclusively on representing individuals charged with misdemeanor, felony, and DUI offenses.
