About Cowgirl Café
Cowgirl Café appeals to a wide variety of people who enjoy the experience of western authenticity, superb personal service, and high quality breakfast, lunch and bakery items. The ambiance of the restaurant is friendly, fun and inviting. Pans rattle in the kitchen, waitresses bustle back and forth, balancing three and four plates on their arms and customers call out to one another over strains of country music.
Customers feel like they are a part of the Cowgirl Café family. Cowgirl Café’s mission is to make their customers feel like they are having breakfast in their own kitchen. Upon entering the restaurant, customers are greeted immediately, seated in the comfortable dining room, and served a hot cup of coffee or a cold drink. Loyal repeat customers are recognized by their first name. Servers and customers chat about the new grandbaby or their plans for the weekend.
The country breakfast menu offers eggs, omelettes, large pancakes described as "cowgirl size," French toast and, for the real down-home eater, biscuits and gravy. Cinnamon rolls are served warm and drizzled with cream cheese frosting. Don’t forget about the famous sausage patty, made to Cowgirl’s proprietary recipe. But Cowgirl Café offers much more than just breakfast!
Salad choices include a Cobb salad, served on an extra-large plate with crisp romaine lettuce, chunks of chilled turkey breast, crisp bacon, soft avocado and blue cheese crumbles, all mixed with ranch dressing. Sandwich selections, such as the Country-style beef dip on French roll, are also plentiful in portion like the rest of the meals on the menu.
And if that isn’t enough, baked goods are a specialty at Cowgirl Café. The Atascadero Cafe's resident baker makes an assortment of cookies, cream and fruit pies, muffins, strawberry shortcake and cinnamon rolls daily.
The décor is cowgirl all the way. Tables are adorned with rope. Spurs and Western clothing hang on the walls alongside photos of cowgirl and cowboy heroes. The front dining room is decked out in Western knickknacks, horseshoes and old farm equipment.
In 1994, the original Cowgirl Café opened in a small 800 square foot restaurant in Mira Loma, CA. That location outgrew its space and additional Cowgirl Cafés in California opened in Red Bluff, Paso Robles, Nipomo, and Atascadero.
