I recently purchased a CPAP machine from Capital Medical on N. 66 in Lincoln, NE and have received the most horrendous customer service EVER!
I was told that the respiratory technician would be out of the office and it would be 10 days before I would be able to receive my machine. I should have known then! I asked if there was someone else that could help me, one person said yes that they could have someone from the Omaha office come down to take care of this. However, when I was called to make the final appointment I was told this was not possible and I would have to wait 10 days ~ whatever. I get the machine, and there was no measurement or input on how the nasal pillows should fit, and was given one of the sizes out of the package of three that she opened. I called the next day with a question and was then informed that she only works Monday & Friday. This should have been disclosed before this time. My mask was uncomfortable and I went in on a Friday to get a different mask and was told she was at lunch and I would have to come back. Keep in mind that they are open 8-5 M-F....like most people those are the hours I work, but not in a service industry, so it is very difficult for me to get time off from work. So I called later and was told that I had to have an appointment ~ really?! For a different mask? Not like she was going to measure or anything. So I made an appointment and when I arrived, she tossed a different size mask on the desk and I asked if there was anything else and she said no. I told her that given her training, she should be aware of what the company recommends for sizing. The new mask does not fit! I contacted my insurance company and complained about Capital and was given a different provider to contact. This new provider asked what company I had been unsatisfied with and I told him Capital. He stated then that they have had about 4 other complaints about them in 2-3 weeks. WOW. They no longer refer people to Capital Medical because of all the complaints they have been receiving in the last year or so. I would NEVER recommend them ~ even to my worst enemy!
