ABC Plumbing Heating & Cooling Incorporated

DO NOT USE ABC!!!!!!!! We had a small pipe break January 2011. It was approximately 8:00 p.m. when we called ABC (found on the web), they showed up at 9:00 and charged us $149.00 as an "after hours" fee. We discovered it was merely a broken "valve" on our pipe in the basement -- should have cost no more than $100 to fix. ABC not only charged the $149, but also added on $550 to replace a $20 valve-- a total of $750! Reputable service companies will apply the service fee to the total cost-- not this company. DO NOT USE! We were stuck and had to use them, since we were already out $149! Also, we had water running in our finished basement on top of a ton of electrical outlets, so we agreed to the "astronomical" fee because they were our only option at that moment. The ABC plumber knew he had the leverage and pretty much laughed in our face about it. We considering small claims court to protect those that are less fortunate that we are. Trust me about this company. DO NOT USE.

I highly recommend that you do NOT contact this company for any of the services it provides.They are con artists with a license. Shame on us for contacting them several times and expecting a different result. The first time the plumber said it was our fire safety sprinkler for the furnace causing the problem and quoted over $500 to repair it. We hired someone else and the problem was actually the humidifier in the attic.This last occasion was ridiculous.I researched prior to calling ABC and had an idea that we needed to replace the wax seal on our toilet.The plumber confirmed that this probably was the case, but I also needed a new fill valve. His recommendation was that I buy a new toilet ( for over $2,000), or that he could replace both the wax seal and fill valve for a mere $900.He told me we would be paying for not only the parts, respectively $40 and $20, but also for the labor. We paid ABC the $59 service fee as penance for our stupidity, and we hired someone else and paid $140
