The best doctor I ever had

In July I walked in Dr. Yamaki office and didn't really what to expect. I previous had the worst experience with an doctor that have suppose to remove one of my tubes and drained the other. During the surgery I awaken, which was the most frighten thing I ever experience. So every since that happen I'm afraid of surgery. Well after speaking with Dr. Yamaki I mentioned that to her and after she told me that I had to have an hysterectomy. Dr. Yamaki comfort me with great words and have much respect of my feelings and what ever my concerns was. Dr. Yamaki assured that my surgery will be success and I can assure anyone who see her, can count on her services and very sensitive, caring, nonjudgmental, understanding and reassurance of her ability to take care of you. She has a great staff an wonderful husband who love to help her out when she needed him. And I personally would like to thank you tremendously with the bottom of heart. On August 19th, 2010 Dr. Yamaki assured my concerns about my anxiety what attended to and she done an very great job with my surgery. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Dr Yamaki's staff needs to focus on service

I had an appointment today 6/14/2010.. I have been with this DR for years and I will not be changing any time soon.. the office is a fantastic group to deal with. However, they are currently changing to paperless and there are some things that could use improvement. The receptionist was pretty distracted by the paperwork that she needed to complete. But this was not really the issue.

First, the nurse took me back and did all the normal screens. She took my blood pressure but did not tell me what it was. I have a history of high blood pressure for myself and within my family.. I was a little shocked that she never said anything. She asked me several questions from my old histories but never referred to the 6 pages of the information that I had to fill out prior to even coming in.

Brook was the one who saw me today and she is new to the practice and wonderful. However, on my way out I was given my post visit paperwork with recomendations (still no blood pressure, which I could have asked but I wanted to see if they would tell me what it was, hopefully it was not too high). On the post paperwork was several recomendations but none of these were discussed in the office with the DR. I would think if they were so important that they Dr could have discussed them with me instead of printing it out.

All in all, I will not change because a good Dr's office is hard to find. However, I wanted to write this in hopes that the office will realize that with technology should not come a lack of caring and personalization to the patient. Technology should not be at my expense.

Yamaki, Esteller, GYN

This is a great doctor, and I have never had a complaint until now. Because I am old, and now have multiple health problems(not GYN related), Dr. Yamaki refuses to be my doctor. This is after being her patient for approximatly 17 years. She has also performed several surgeries on me, plus other family members. Since when is illness a reason to reject a former patient?
I have had nothing but praise for this woman. The doctor and staff loved me when I was younger, and full of good humor. I too felt like friend and family. Now I am in a wheel chair, and have neurological problems. There have also been serious health traumas in my extended family, which has caused me to neglect my own health for a few years. I need to start getting regular GYN check ups again. They refuse to let me continue being a patient. "I have too many health problems" is the reason. Excuse me?
We have insurance, and money. We have never sued a doctor, or failed to pay bills. Plus I have an excellent credit score!
I have too many health problems, that is my sin!!!
You have caused me emotional pain, and done me harm, when I have had nothing but respect and praise for you. God is my witness. I still find myself trying to excuse you, because it is difficult for me to think badly of someone.
