Do Not Use This Dentist!!!!!!

Dr Susan Mocada does not deserve any stars! She is by far the worst health care provider my family has ever been to. She was unethical and uncaring. My husband saw Dr. Moncada last month where she treated him with a root canal that I believe she should have sent him to an endontist for. The procedure was not done properly and nerves were left from his tooth. He ended up getting an infection because he was not prescribed antibiotics to prevent it, which I have come to find out is the normal procedure. She violated his patient rights by not providing him with the information he needed to make an informed consent to the root canal. Along with many more violations. After all this Did not make any effort to make her mistakes right. She also would not release his records and films so he could take them elsewhere until we got an attorney involved. And then sent him a letter saying she would no longer be available for his dental treatment. If you are in need of a dentist please find anyone else! We have filled a complaint with the health department and now have an attorney and are going to move forward with legal actions. IF you feel that you could also use a attorney please feel free to contact me I can give you my attorneys name a information. It is not right or fair for a health care professional to treat her patients in such a manner!

THE WORST DENTAL OFFICE - DON'T EVER GO!

I never before felt compelled to write a negative review about any business in the past. But regarding Windermere Dental Group, I just had to make the effort to save other folks from having my experience. Please read this review before going to the office. I disagree with napa23's last review (the only positive one). The other reviews have too much in common with my experience for this to be a coincidence.\t\n\t\nMy wife and I purchased the tooth whitening and cleaning package via Living Social. The provider was Windermere Dental Group. The vibe when you get to the office is very weird (we should have know this would be a ride from the beginning). The husband is the office manager, and the wife is the doctor. We went in for the cleanings, and the husband/wife team pressed us hard for additional services that we didn't need (my wife is a hygienist, so she know what was going on). When we refused, they said they couldn't do the whitenings for us. I caved-in on some smaller services, and paid extra. But it wasn't after some deliberation that we were able to schedule our whitening appointments. The appointments were scheduled for 100 days in the future (disappointing, but understandable given the demand for the Living Social deal). Because of all this, the mood was tense with the staff and patients. Even the bedside manner was just weird and seemed unprofessional.\t\n\t\nMy wife went for her whitening appointment first (3+ months after the cleaning), and it was a similar feeling. The bedside manner was off. The assistant didn't follow proper hygiene protocol, and had to be reminded - i.e. wear gloves before putting stuff in the mouth! She was glad when it was all over.\t\n\t\nMy whitening appointment was for this morning. I arrived 20 minutes late due to traffic (my wife called the office earlier to notify them that I was inbound, and they said was OK, and they would be waiting). I sat in the office for about 10 minutes, and then the receptionist told me that they would be unable to see me today since I was late. I was disappointed, but it was understandable. Then he proceeded to tell me that I had to pay a $50 cancellation fee since we had to reschedule. Really? I refused to pay, and I politely demanded to talk to the office manager (the husband). He did not want to come out from his office to talk, but told the receptionist that he would drop the price to $25 and would not waive the fee. So now all of the sudden we are negotiating? After saying that I will wait for him until his meeting was over to talk, the receptionist came back and said there will be no one available to talk to me in the office today. \t\n\t\nIs this how they make their money? I drove 1 hour to get to the office, had to make special plans to drop the kids at school, had to reschedule a meeting at work. And on top of that, they want to charge me for being late? I explained all this, and they would not budge. Where is the customer service? It was disappointing enough that I didn't get the service done. Plus, this is outside of their policy, and they have no right to charge extra. This was not a "no show" situation or a "cancellation". The end result is that I asked that the office manager give me a call to discuss. I don't really expect a call back though (I think he knows he messed-up). I am going to pursue a refund from Living Social, or possibly a dispute with the credit card company if necessary. This may even warrant a complaint with the BBB. Wish I didn't have to go through all of this, but feel it may be worth the effort on this one.\t\n

GREAT DENTIST, GREAT OFFICE

I guess that people with bad experiences speak louder than those with good ones. I have been going to this office for years and I had never have a bad thought about it. The Doctor is great, knowledgeable, and kind. She has a very light hand that took away my fear of needles and she always makes me feel confident that whatever treatment I am getting done, my teeth and oral health are in great hands. I have had cleanings, restoration of cavities, whitenings, and all sorts of treatments done there for me and my family and here everybody is happy with the doctor. I have a four year old that is in love with doctor. And parents with young children, specially boys, understand how amazingly bizarre this "love for the dentist" is. She is great with kids.\t\nIn all these years, I have always found the office staff efficient. I had never wasted unnecessary time waiting to be seen. They are very polite and friendly, they send me postcards every six months to remind me of my due cleanings, for me and my family, they always have the office very clean, and nice looking, and they are great. \t\nIt is a shame that others reading the negative comments made by the "angry ones" deprive themselves of such a great service and professionalism offered by this dental office. I have gone there for years and I am planning to continue going there with my family and recommending it to my friends for years to come because this Doctor is a GREAT doctor, and this office is a GREAT office.
