Vancare

I find vancare to be a very troubled company while working there these are my experiences I observed. Vancare lacks the understanding of client and employee support . I have witness clients rights being violated by not allowing them to participate in a equal quality of life. I have worked at houses and I have asked when's the last time the client participated in a activity sometimes its been a month since the client has been outside. I have witness personal property taken away from clients that is a violation by state . I have witnessed food restrictions by the administration which is a state violation . Clients at vancare live a very dole life not by there fault but by the administration lack of understanding clients desires . Vancare is very political the administration has been there for over ten plus years, so when a staff come with a complaint they dont listen and run things the same way they have for years. I have talked to 80percent of the employees and they were looking for a new job that explains vancares high turn over rate and type of employees they hire. During my orientation three other future staff I talked to never had a job or took care of people with disabilities if you think about it do you want someone like this taking care of your kid, mother, father, daughter etc the lack of the administration not understanding employees contribute to these kind of potential employees. There is no organization of the company many staff dont know there shift or people dont show up for shifts because a scheduling mix up this is a weekly occurrence. I got on the bus the other day with a client from a different company I had a conversation with a guy on the bus and vancares name came up and he said they should have closed that place a long time ago,but not only him but many people have expressed how bad the company is that's the publics perception of vancare it's the worst adult provider in town. This is what I have witness and I'm deciding to call the state to investigate vancares support with people with disabilities
