After I paid the $5,200 for his custom TMJ joint device, his office over-billed me an additional $2,700+. After 8 months of email, letter writing, and calling, they still won't refund the $916.66 they owe me dating back to November 2014. Additionally, the device was not helpful for my daughter's headaches. We came to Dr. Gelb b/c our dentist and orthodontist told us our daughter has a TMJ joint problem. Dr. Gelb examined her and determined that did NOT have a TMJ joint problem, but something more systemic. Despite that diagnosis, he still prescribed his $5,200 customer TMJ mouth piece, knowing she wasn't suffering from a TMJ condition. He saw us as parents desperate to help their daughter and took full advantage. He further prescribed costly rheumatologic blood tests, for which he has no training to interpret - he's a dentist - and then didn't wait for test results before prescribing his costly device. Profit is all that is cared about here. Dr. spends almost no time with patients. running from room to room, and presents, in my option, as very arrogant. Stay away.
