great food,atmosphere

I had lunch at lindsey's yesterday with a couple of family members and it was a very pleasing experience. We started out with clam cakes and clam chowder. The cakes are huge and moist, crispy on the outside and so tasty and delish, I love to dip them in my chowder mmmm good ! The three of us all ordered the fish and chips. The fish was tender and flaky, crispy on the outside, and the chips were thin but very good, overall great fish and chips, served with tartar sauce and cole slaw. Our waitress was perfect. I knocked a star off only because of the price,,,15.99 for f&c,,,,an extra dollar if you want haddock. If you've been to a fish market lately, you know the retail.I guess you're paying because it's along the way to cape. This will not deter me from returning to lindsey's once in a while.

Tasteful treat in Buzzards Bay

Sherri is running the Lindsey's restaurant very well. Her diligence in dining shows everytime our guests visits her restaurant. Pleasure to have Lindsey's in Wareham.

Fantastic chowder

Everytime we are in town we have to stop into Lindsey's for the wonderful seafood chowder. The best in New England and being a New Englander, we know.

Back in 1980, Lindsey’s was closed on Mondays. Buzzy Lindsey didn’t like to serve the seafood that was left over from the weekend on Tuesday and he didn’t want it to go to waste. Buzzy asked his head chef, Arthur what they could do to make good use of the extra fresh seafood. Arthur came up with a unique bisque recipe that he knew no one was making in the area. Traditionally bisques are puréed and contain no chunks, but Arthur’s seafood bisque was chock full of large chunks of lobster, shrimp... READ MORE Posted March 27, 2015 at 05:09 PM
