Advocate Good Shepherd Immediate Care

Had a TERRIBLE experience here last night. It had suddenly gotten busy and they clearly were not up for it. I heard one lady behind the desk ask for someone to come up to help, then someone said "Do they all seem necessary?" A fellow sufferer in the waiting area said to her son "That's an odd thing to say especially when we can hear". Shortly after a nurse came out to start triaging like she was a field medic. She started with a frightened little girl who had possibly swallowed a coin. They were told it would pass in a couple days, nothing to do. She then moved on to me and my 4 day, 103.6 fever. She started with "We don't do blood work here" "Do I need blood work?", I asked confused. "Well is that what you want?" "I want relief", I replied. She pointed to the glass of water my dad had gotten me and said "Well you're drinking so you're not dehydrated" (I was) "I mean, we could do a chest x-ray, but you look too good to have pneumonia" (I do. Must be the pretty version) She basically told me it was probably a virus and I just needed to wait it out. Luckily we went next door to Centegra where they were very kind and concerned and not questioning my motive for seeking assistance. And that little girl? Luckily she went there too. She ended up being transported by ambulance. Very very upsetting, Advocate.

I brought my son after two week of him feeling sick with a major cough. They would not prescribe anything for him. We ended up in the emergency room with upper respiratory infection along with bronchitis. All of this would of been alleviated if diagnosis properly and given some antibiotic. I

I had injured my knee and was having pain walking. My regular Dr. was on vacation so I went the Advocate Good Shepherd Immediate Care in Crystal Lake. I was seen very quickly and the Dr. was nice and very professional. An X-ray was taken at this location with immediate results. I would recommend this location to anyone needing care.
