Reviews about Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire - Formerly Advanced Auto
very poor service, worse yet, incompetent service techs.
let them work on my car 2 times, take it back for screwups 2 times.took in to change the oil filter and put air in rt frt tire.left a quart of oil on frt seat to add after filter replace.got home let sit for oil to drain down.checked and was 3/4 of a quart low, they used about 1/8 of a quart after filter replaced.they never bothered to ck.the oil and never put air in frt tire, even though it was on the repair order.first time it was in for a serp and v belt change.this cars belts have a certain belt tension that must be set,or it will throw a belt .gave them the tension specs and asked them if there tech had a belt tension gauge, they said yes.the tension specs were printed on the repair order, but never set.had to take back to get the correct tensoin set.screw this place, they dont care.

There should be a NEGATIVE star scale for these CROOKS - I'd put them at -5. They damaged my car and charged $100 for a "diagnostic" that they never mentioned. These people are incompetent and criminal. PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS by NOT GOING THERE. Spare yourself the grief and damage to your car if your choose to decline their services. They tried to scam me into a "Goodyear" credit card when I told them I couldn't afford the repairs. That's when they did a juggernaut on trying to sign me up for the credit card. Research the scams going on with Goodyear - they post unauthorized charges to your account. DON'T DO IT!!!! I will suggest that they intentionally damage your car to scam your money out of you.
