I was recommended to use this low down, unprofessional person services. I left several messages and he never had the courtesy to retun a call to say anything. I contacted the person that referred him to me, and said " Don't you ever, ever, never" refer anyone to this scoundrel! After reading all the reviews; people are not lying. Its a same for him to even work with the public. I am glad that he never called back. He may have jacked up my stuff. Do not use this agency to prepare your taxes. I have a fairly uncomplicated return and the preparer omitted some very basic information that should have been included in with my tax return. I noticed this error, which resulted in an extra $300 refund from the IRS. This office charges $200 to prepare taxes and I thought it was reasonable for some of the preparation fee to be returned, due to their error. I understand mistakes happen, but this is a service industry and most businesses will make accommodations when employee errors occur. After expressing my dissatisfaction to one of the partners, she was unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation. She was condescending and rude on the phone. I don’t think my request was unreasonable and I didn’t appreciate her nasty attitude towards me. I do not recommend this business to anyone. f you can avoid using H & R Block you should. Their published fees are completely bogus. They first get you to sign something that their fee is $39.00 but don't tell you that it is a base fee and they will charge you for every possible form they can. I ended up with a $500 bill for less than 45 minutes work for a relatively straightforward tax preparation. A total rip-off. Totally misleading. Horrible service. Find a nice independent account instead. I will never let anyone I know use H & R Block - they represent the worst of possible business practices I have ever experienced! ...read more
