Milltown is a village in Polk County, near the Minnesota border. Nearby is the St. Croix River, designated by Congress as a protected scenic riverway. Major employers include the St. Croix Regional Medical Center and Scientific Molding Corporation. Students attend the Unity School District. Boating is popular, especially at Willow River State Park about an hour away, where visitors can picnic near a waterfall. Milltown is the place for unique and fun festivals.
