Kendall is a part of the Monroe County region of Wisconsin known for its old railroad depot and location along the Elroy-Sparta Trail. Major attractions include Wenner Bread and Hidden Inn. Each year in the fall season there is the Fall Polka Festival. Among the biggest companies in Kendall are Titanic Canoe Rental, and Farmers & Merchants Bank. The biggest schools here are Kendall Elementary School and Royall Middle School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Kendall is Cindy’s Bar. Kendall has a gorgeous view of the Baraboo River.

Wonderful small motel. You will never find a cleaner place to stay. People who own it are very nice people and always willing to help. It is an excellent place to stay even if you are not into bike riding. If you do enjoy the bike trail it could not be any better because the trail is right outside you door. Also in an area where you can see many Amish and sight see if that is your thing. We found it last year just by accident and have stayed there many times since. Only has 8 rooms so make your reservation early. Small quiet town a great place to get away and only 35 miles from the Dells. Our family stayed at the motel last July. The rooms were very, very clean. It was so convenient to get on the bike trail right outside of our rooms. They had a firepit and the owners put chairs all around the fire for us. We drank wine and laughed until 2 am. It was so fun to relax and unwind after biking all day. I stayed at the Country Liven Motel (Now Sugar Maple Inn) a week in August and a week in Ontober 2008, to bike the Sparta-Elroy Trail, and found the rooms to be exceptionally clean and affordable. The price includes a continental breakfast, and the service is very friendly. The motel is right next to the Sparta-Elroy bike trail, and can be accessed from their parking lot.
