Sell Thru Me On Ebay

1.0

By Susan Tewel MD

I would give a rating of zero if it were possible. Jason has had possession of thousands of dollars of office equipment and medical lasers since September 2010. Nothing has been listed on ebay, let alone sold. Despite numerous requests he has not even given me a list of the items he possesses so I can do the personal property tax form. He is full of excuses. My next step is to reclaim the property (if he still has it) and try to find another seller. I would advise staying far away from this company. ...read more

I can not thank Jeff and his staff enough. They assisted me with liquidating my parents large estate in Spokane. I reside in Vancouver and could only be there intermittantly. Jeff made the gruling process so much easier by explaining the auction process, scheduling the movers, and getting top dollar for my mom and dads items. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Selling gold - What you should know about selling your gold

With so many companies claiming top dollar, and we pay more, and cash for gold how do you choose who to sell your gold to? The answer I would think is simple and that is "whoever will pay you the most" and there may be a couple other things you want to consider, do you have to mail your gold in and wait to get a check, can you get cash on the spot, and is it the right time to sell? 1) How is my gold buyer calculating what I will get for my gold?
A) The first thing you have to know is how your buyer is paying you, are they paying you for the weight of your item or are they paying you for the weight of the gold IN the item? This is the single most confusing thing for sellers to undertstand so lets try make it simple for you. 10K gold = 41.6% pure, 14K gold = 58.3% pure, 18K = 75% pure and 24K = 99.99% pure, so now if you know what your gold item weighs you will be able to calculate how much pure gold is in your jewelry or old gold. Buyers will quote you 1 of 2 ways, price per gram or DWT (pennyweight) and either by weight of item (most common) or weight of gold. You want to ASK THE BUYER "is that per gram of gold or gram of jewelry" because the price difference is HUGE.

2) Is the buyer willing to quote you over the phone?
A) The buyers already know what they pay for gold, they should know and be able to answer ALL your questions over the phone and if they dont, why not? I will answer any and all questions about your prospective sale and in fact I give you phone numbers for 8 other gold buyers in Spokane! Your time and your gold are valuable and theres no need to waste either one.

3) How can I decide who to sell to? So many companies say they are the best......
A) Simple, ask how much money you would get for your gold and sell to the one who gives you the most money!

4) What should I ask the buyer to make sure im NOT getting less cash than I should?
A) You should ask them how much money you will be paid per gram or pennyweight and then ask if thats for gold content or the weight of the item. If your buyer wont tell you over the phone you would want to ask them (or at least ask yourself the question) why not? If they are honest and have nothing to hide they should be more than happy to offer you a quote over the phone. ...read more
