Issaquah is a part of King County and within the Seattle metro area of Washington known for the Issaquah Alps. Major attractions include the Cougar Mountain Zoo and the Gilman Village shopping center. Each year in October the Salmon Days Festival is held to celebrate the return of the Salmon to their birth place, it includes a parade, crafts, artists, sporting events, and other activities.
