AVOID THIS BUSINESS. They are too driven to sell you a completely new system. I recently had them come out to check my heat pump which was having problems. The service technician told me the compressor was bad and it would cost $2000-$3000 to repair. Given the age of my system he recommended replacing the whole thing rather than repairing it. They sent out a salesman who quoted a new system at over $13,000. I felt like this was high so I scheduled more estimates. Prior to this I wanted another opinion on the repairs. I called another company who came out and found that the compressor was fine. The problem was the hard start kit. He replaced it for $200 and it is working perfectly. I would not call Service Experts to fix anything. All they care about is selling you an overpriced system even if a quick, cheaper fix would solve the problem. I consider their behavior in this circumstance negligent at best and possibly criminal. ...read more
