My family had dinner at Trummers this past weekend and the meal was so-so. For the price, it should be great. The restaurant is really nice but the service was overly attentive to the point of being annoying. With that said, I felt like no one really cared how my experience was. I am yet another resident of Clifton disappointed in the new addition. Went last night, and though there were only a few tables filled the service was horrendously slow (though admittedly pleasant). First they were out of a key ingredient in the signature drink, then the replacement drinks came after the appetizers were served. Ribeye was pretty good but sea bass was bland and the presentation was unappealing. The lobster fettucine side was the best part of the meal. They were also out of the walnuts for the cheese plate. Cocktails were nice, but took far too long and the head waiter spilled the drinks. I will stick to the fun and tasty Main Street Pub or the always reliable Heart & Hand.
