Lace & Co offers amazing products, and has unbelievable customer service. They are friendly, fast, and accomodating with products at a great value. After some comparison shopping, I was pleased with my first purchase and will continue to return. I can only say that Mike does a great job and not disclosing the whole truth about the merchandise he sells. Please use extreme caution if you feel like you must look at his jewelry. Mike will have no problem with overcharging you for the poorest quality jewelry. Frankly I'm surprised that the Greek Festival would allow him to be a title sponsor. I hope the organizers do a better job at picking who they associate themselves with in the future. No wonder the Better Business Bureau has given Mike's Custom Jewelry an "F" rating. The lowest possible rating available. It seems odd that there are an equal number of favorable ratings to Mike. I've seen companies boost their ratings by filing false reports. I wonder if this is the case here? ...read more

I purchased my wedding dress from David's Bridal. The original sales lady was helpful and I do love the dress I bought from them. I agree with previous reviews that their registration process is a bit tedious and beware that once they have your information you will get spammed! They sold my information to every possible vendor I can think of from Mary Kay to jewelers to honeymoon locations - it just goes on and on. Anyway I wasn't completely displeased with them until I called to find out their hours so I could take my dress in to have it steamed. I was advised in one of the most condescending voices I have ever heard that since I hadn't called three weeks in advance I'd have to pay $25 to have it steamed since they were so kindly moving my dress ahead "of all the other young ladies who had brought their dresses in on time". WOW. I don't mind paying the extra money even though I was told it was free and was told to bring it in a few weeks in advance - not specifically 3 weeks. After spending a significant amount of money in their store I would expect at the very least some kind customer service. Not somebody rude and condescending. It's just not worth having bad feelings over something as simple as getting a dress steamed. I paid $20 to a local dry cleaner who did a FANTASTIC job in ONE day. I would not recommend shopping with David's Bridal. ...read more

I have gone to Mike's several times and they have always treated me great. They have repaired several pices of jewelry for me and their cost was always what they quoted me when I dropped it off. The have given me a receipt with the price of what it will cost to fix it each time I left my jewelry. When I picked it up the price was the same. I would not trust my jewelry with anyone else. ...read more

I love this place. After buying jewelry here I will never go anywhere else. They have a huge selection and something in everyone's price range. If you don't find exactly what you want they are willing to put forth the extra effort and make it special just for you. Their diamonds are amazing and I always get comments on my jewelry. They truly enjoy what they do and are always friendly. I compared my jewelry from Mike's with what I had purchased from other stores and you could tell that the quality and workmanship from Mike's was far superior. Even my husband agreed that he would never go anywhere else again. ...read more

I'm not going to tell you all the horrible things I had to experience with Mike and his horrible sales staff. I will tell you the key points that you can keep in mind before you spend any money here: 1. Mike's work is shoddy. Every time I took my ring in to get re-sized or cleaned they tried to give it back with scratches and dings all over it. I think Mike is getting a little too old to be doing such detail-oriented work. 2. Awful customer service. The sales staff are always smug and unresponsive. They will treat you great until you give them money, then there is no more incentive and they will treat you like a nuisance. 3. Did I mention the sloppy work? From looking at the reviews it seems that people either gave them one star or five stars. I wonder how much the 5 star reviewers paid for their jewelry? I'll bet those who paid way too much for their jewelry got much better service than those who paid a reasonable amount. We fit in the middle, I think, but our service was awful. I don't care if I have to pay for my next cleaning; I will NEVER go back to Mike's Custom Jewelry. ...read more

I took my ring (which I did not purchase there) to be resized. I got my ring back a month later and one of the side diamonds fell out. They told me they would replace it at no charge. I had to call them several times....uhhhh....I was finally told that they could not find my ring. They FINALLY did find my ring and returned it 4 months later. Guess what happened? Yep that's right the same diamond fell out again, only this time I was stuck with the bill. Makes you wonder what they did with my ring for 4 months!!!! ...read more

Went there and was very pleased. A woman named Arlene helped us get the ring we wanted without being pushy. Gave us a letter of Authenticity. And let us get a second appraisal from another company. And a man named Dino was very polite and dropped the asking price by a thousand dollars. The rings are worth alot more than what they were first asking. We were very pleased. Great place to shop... ...read more

LETS BE HONEST NOT THE CHEAPEST BUT IF YOUR LOOKING FOR CHEAP DONT BUY AT A PLACE WITH CUSTOM IN THE NAME!!! I found a wonderful engagement ring at Shane Co where I purchased my now wife's promise ring. It was amazing only thing is my wife wanted it to be different two diamonds on the side so I was recommended to Mike's by my now mother-in-law. I asked the lady there if they could add some diamonds if I didnt buy it there, she said they could make the ring custom, so I opted to do that. The ring has a 1 karat loose diamond I bought there and about 1 karat in other diamonds. My wife gets so so so many compliments on her ring its insane! So I looked at rings there and found a awesome Carbon Fiber and Titanium mens ring and people literally ask me all the time where I found this ring. I also bought my wife some pearls for our wedding day at Mikes and my wife adores them and they were for a Necklace and earrings under $300-400. They are high quality and the most brilliant diamonds I have ever seen and I went to over 10 places for diamonds and know people in the business. THE BEST PLACE FOR LONG RELATIONSHIP BUYING dont be cheap diamonds are forever. Will and DO recommend everyone I know there I am in my early 20's and multiple friends have been there and enjoy it as much as I did.. ...read more

Mike's staff was very friendly and helped me make my 10-year anniversary very special. My wife had wanted emerald-cut diamond earrings for some time, but I hadn't had any luck until I went into Mike's store. The woman in the store helped me get just the type of earrings I'd been looking for and my wife loves them! As for quality and value, I got an appraisal for much more than I spent. Thanks, Mike! ...read more

mike sold us an engagement ring that was apparently the price of around $15K. I have had jewelers tell me that they would not even think of buying the diamond out of it because it was such poor quality. This place IS HORRIBLE and if you are smart you will go somewhere else. It's not custom either, believe me, you should just go somewhere else. This place is a total joke and Mike makes so much money just ripping people off!!! ...read more

The sales lady seemed very nice and helpful and didn't mind taking the time to talk about it while I looked through a book to find a ring for a garnet. I wanted a yellow gold ring and she told me the prices in the book were based on a $600 an oz price not the current $900+ and that the actual price of the ring would be more. She said however that the price of white gold would still be the price in the book and thought that the white looked better and brought out the color of a garnet better. So for budget reasons based on what she told me, I opted for the white gold against my better judgement. When I placed the order she told me she would order 10 garnets and pick the brightest one. I get a call the ring is in so I go to get it. The saleslady gets the ring saying she hadn't even known it had come in yet. She takes it out of the sealed package that came from the distributor and the gem is already set in the ring. What happened to the 10 gems and picking the best one? Our 10th anniv comes and my wife is disappointed it is not yellow gold. To exchange guess I'll have to see how much more it costs for yellow gold. I call and speak to a different salesperson. They said that they didn't think there would be a price difference between yellow and white gold My wife having worked in a jewelry store said that there is no price difference between yellow and white gold! I go back to the store and to exchange it. She writes up a receipt and doesn't say anything about a price difference and I didn't bring it up. She then says there is a $15 return fee but when I go to give her the money she waves me off saying nevermind. A week later the ring is in and I go and get it. The sales lady tells me that they don't normally do this kind of exchange and that she was waiving the $30 return fee for me, and that she thinks she can sell it because it's a nice ring. Do you see why I am unhappy with this place? I am not going there again. My story is longer but no space left. ...read more

Davids Bridal

I am getting married next year and have been on the hunt for the perfect gown for about a month or two. I have been in Davids Bridal a few times and have been less than impressed each time, but they had the gown of my dreams so I decided to give them one last chance. The sales girl that was helping me this time was helpful and nice (that is where the praise stops) she pulled the dress and I went back to put it on. I came out and told her I was ready to purchase the dress and so she took me back to meet the seamstess. Now, I am not a small girl... the dress was a size 18 and it fit pretty much perfectly except for the way it sat on my stomach. I had tried on the same dress in a 20 but it would have required more alterations than need be. While I was back with the seamstress she was pinning straps and looking at the length (both needed no alteration) then she looked at the front of the dress and told me that she would need to let it out a little bit... I already knew that so I wasn't shocked. The comment that she made after that is what shocked and appalled me. She said "You know, if you lost some weight I wouldn't need to alter this dress at all." I was boiling inside and the poor sales girl had this look of sheer terror on her face... I looked at them both and told them they had lost themselves a customer and that I wanted to get dressed because I was leaving. \t\n\t\nI could have blown up, I could have yelled and screamed, but I don't think it would have made a difference. I will instead be calling the general manager later on toay and telling them that I will be looking for "my perfect dress" somewhere else! ...read more
