Record your possessions!
There are two parts to filing a Homeowners or a Renters claim. The first is to confirm you possessed the objects and then you must substantiate their value. The simplest approach is to take your video camera and a few hours of your time to walk through your home (this includes attic, basement, garage, any outbuildings, etc.) and document on tape ALL of your belongings. If you don't have a video camera, you can always take still photos, which you can label, or make a detailed written list. Record the purchase dates and serial numbers, as well as any receipts you have retained. Appraisals are also important when recording art, jewelry, or collectibles. This may sound like a lot of work, but the headaches it will save you in the event of a loss will make up for it in the end! Keep your inventory safe for easy retrieval in a safety deposit box, which of course, will be stored with your homeowner's insurance policy. If you store your inventory at your home, it's a good idea to give keep a copy at your workplace or possibly with a good friend or your family. And don't neglect to update your list as you purchase new items or make updates to your home! It's important to have an agent who cares enough to give you tips like this one. Call the M. Alpine Treatment Services
By Leslie October 03, 2011
This facility is now in Midway UT. It is highly effective for individuals who want to recover and even some who don't think they need to. Mental and emotional issues are treated in addition to the addiction. I came into treatment a broken woman and left with a plan for continued recovery, support, hope and most important for me, peace. I am NOT LDS nor am I a Christian and I found this program to support spiritual growth, not specific religions. I was able to find my connection with my God and it works for m. ...read more
Deseret First Credit Union
By DaveyB at Citysearch June 22, 2011
Deseret First Credit Union consistently mistreats its "members" and charges the same high fees that you'd expect from huge corporate banks. It has virtually none of the benefits of working with a credit union. After being a member for 15 years I am finally fed up and switching all of my finances over to my other bank because their service is inconsistent, their tellers are misinformed and their fraud department seems lazy. I was told they didn't fully investigate my claims because they had a busy week with some other major claims and two months later they had done nothing. They are disorganized and slow except when it comes to charging you for their "services." I had heard of big banks like Wells Fargo pulling dirty tricks like running all of your withdrawals before all of your deposits in order to charge more fees but I never thought I would see this behavior from a locally, member owned credit union. ...read more
