Very disappointed

I have been a FAITHFUL -several time a year customer here. I spend NO LESS than $130 EVERY time I walked through the door. I even recommended this company to the owner of the Home Health company I work for as our source for yearly Scrub Vouchers!! Needless to say I am COMPLETELY disgusted with the occurance that just took place and will NEVER shop at Narmada--now call UNIFORM EXPERTS AGAIN!! Last year I received a gift certificate for $75 for Christmas. I held on to it, as my "scrub voucher" through my employer would be coming out in about a month- I thought I'll just combine the 2 and revamp my scrubs for spring/summer..I finally found time between visits in June to get in there.. Ashby, the "owner" got out the catalogs for me to browse through as there is a much larger selection of Plus Size scrubs in them. Ashby would write down item numbers as I flipped the pages. After I was through he let me know that their next order would be in September..fine. I submitted my gift certificate and employer voucher AND paid the remainder in CASH. As I have done for YEARS. He had my order information in the spiral notebook, information to call me when it all came in. GREAT. Life went on as usual. I totally forgot--this was the longest shipment delay in all the years I have shopped there. February rolled around..time for yearly voucher and it dawned on me MY SCRUBS!!! I went back to try to get the situation handled Let's just say the book keeping system is SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS..I thought they were just for writing down orders etc..NOPE that's the SYSTEM in place. Once the book is full, it literally lays around on the shelf in the corner and then gets THROWN AWAY in a couple of months. NO gift certificate log, NO computer, no database. NO RECORD OF MY PAID ORDER, NO record of what was ordered, no packing slips from orders received.. NADDA.. I realize that I should have put on a calander somewhere to check back in 4 months but I literally have shopped and order from him for YEARS I never dreamt this would be a problem EVER.. His mother, who appears to be running things for the most part has given me the run around..Ashby the "owner" conveniently has left for the day everytime I call. Messages go un returned. I did--after 2 weeks catch him on the phone- he was totally understanding, would do some investigating and make everything "right" and call me back in at least 2 days..that was June 20th and today is July 20th..I called AGAIN he's gone already today...Mary the mother...says it's been too long ago there is nothing we can do..I politely said "well thank you for NOTHING and I shall take my business elsewhere!!!! " All this makes me wonder...what exactly do they submit to the IRS if EVERYTHING is in spiral notebooks and tossed whenever?? My employer has been alerted to the situation and I will NO longer recommend Uniform Experts/Narmada to ANYONE...
