Paris is a part of the Lamar County of Texas known for its unique location. The city is located in Tornado Alley and it sees tornadoes frequently. The city is actually a part of the West Gulf Coastal Plain. The city serves as the County Seat of the Lamar County. The city was officially incorporated in 1845.
